Huck Seed From Full Tilt Poker Won The Tournament of Champions
Huck Seed beat “The Professor” Howard Lederer heads up early Monday morning to reign supreme as the Tournament of Champions’ victor. As well as gaining the status associated with beating one of the toughest fields in Full Tilt Referral Code poker history (although with only 27 runners), he also grabbed a hefty $500,000 (£330,000) in cold hard cash; not bad for a few days’ work.
Play carried on at 10am on Independence day, but with 17 players still left, and the WSOP main event starting a mere 26 hours later, organisers and TOC players would have been excused for thinking a champion might never be crowned. As desirable as this tournament is, it is still a non-bracelet, invitational event, and the main event is still considered one of the most sought after prizes in Full Tilt Poker Review history.
None of this is as significant as the 1996 WSOP main event champion and four time bracelet winner, Huck Seed took down the title around 16 hours later, with Howard Lederer and Johnny Chan coming in second and third respectively.
